I don’t usually share much about myself or my bikes on social media — it’s just not really my thing. But in this case, I felt I should make an exception and send you a proper feedback — along with a photo — because I wanted you to know how much I appreciate what you’ve created.
I’ve always been a pure road rider at heart, but over the years I started to feel the limits of narrow tyres and rough tarmac. I wanted more comfort on long rides, a greater sense of safety, and above all, more freedom — to ride wherever the road (or not-road) might lead.
When I tested a few gravel bikes, I found them inspiring off-road but lacking the sharpness and punch I love on climbs and smooth asphalt. I didn’t want to give up that road-bike dynamism. So I began searching for a frame that could blur those boundaries — and when I discovered Reilly, I immediately felt something genuine. Reading your story, seeing the people behind the brand, I sensed honesty, craftsmanship and a human touch — a company where substance truly outweighs show.
Three months ago I became the proud owner of a Spectre, and I have to admit, I was a little nervous at first — could it really deliver that road feel and still take on gravel?
The answer came the moment I built it and took my first ride: it just clicked. It felt right instantly.
Now, after more than 2,000 km, the bike and I are practically one. It’s passed every possible test — long-distance rides, huge climbs, and even some MTB trails. It handles everything with ease and comfort.
I’m currently running 40 mm tyres, and while they do take a few extra watts to keep speed, the sporty, agile geometry makes up for it completely. I’ve never felt faster, or more connected to a bike.
So thank you — sincerely — for creating a machine that captures the soul of road cycling while embracing the spirit of adventure.
You’ve built something truly special.
