How much does a titanium bike weigh?

Reilly Sales Manager Edwin Matthews gives us the low down on why to choose a titanium bike.

We get asked this question all the time: what makes our frames different? The answer is simple - our titanium bike frames are engineered for long-term comfort, all-terrain durability, and performance you can rely on. That’s why every frame comes with a lifetime warranty.

Whether you ride on the road, off-road, in extreme conditions, or in competitive events, our bikes are designed to be pushed to the limit. We ride them the same way ourselves, every single day.

A medium frame weighs approximately 1.6–1.7 kg, paired with a lightweight carbon fork between 300–400 g.

Before you close the page —yes, titanium frames may weigh slightly more than some carbon, ultralight alloy, or thinner titanium options on the market. But what you gain is far more valuable: exceptional comfort, unmatched stability, and long-lasting strength, with virtually no loss in speed.

Frames like the Reflex and Fusion use four key points of Grade 5 6Al/4V titanium, known for its superior strength-to-weight ratio. This strategically stiffens the frame, giving it a ride quality closer to carbon while reinforcing high-stress areas.

Our titanium frames are rigorously prototyped, tested, and engineered not to flex like lighter metal frames - and they’re definitely not slow. Many riders transitioning from carbon have reported achieving new personal bests, both climbing and descending, thanks to improved control and comfort. And if you haven’t tried titanium yet, prepare for a bike that’s simply more fun to ride.

Speaking from personal experience, I’ve comfortably completed a 200 km / 3300 m Audax and the 215 km / 3350 m Dragon Ride Gran Fondo - both in better times than on my carbon bike.
