Barry's New Gradient

Barry's New Gradient

Back in 2019, Barry’s first Reilly was a classic road bike T325c now he’s returned to Reilly for a Gradient gravel bike.  See what he thought when he took it for it’s inaugural ride.

Thanks for all the help understanding my requirements, giving me great advice, speccing and building me a bike perfectly suited to my needs.

Just got back from a wet tour of France. The bike was well laden and handled brilliantly. I was able to descend and corner with great confidence and it’s been a worthwhile upgrade for me. The wheel recommendation was great, tyre advice worked well when some of our route planning was a bit sub optimal! My 35mm tyres were the envy of my friends when it got rough.

Great work by the builders, the customised graphics have got a lot of envy from my club mates who love all the attention to detail you made to match our club kit. They also did a perfect job building the bike exactly as my bike fit.

All six of us on tour were on titanium bikes, 2 of them Reillys. Also met another Reilly owner on the ferry who had had his for a good time and off course it was still giving great service.

Thanks for including a rear mech hanger with the bike. I always carry a spare as a tour company once advised me they have more rides ruined with broken mech hangers than anything else. It’s just one of those touches that shows how Reilly thinks about and cares how their bikes are going to be used.
